ASRock Rack Launches New Intel^® Xeon E Processor-based Performance Accelerated Server Solutions

Taipei, Taiwan – November 6, 2018 – ASRock Rack, specialized in high performance and high-efficiency cloud computing server technology, today launched the new Intel^® Xeon^® E processor-based E3C242D4U, E3C246D4U, E3C242D4M-4L and E3C242D4U2-2T server motherboards, and the 1U2LW-C242 server platform.

To achieve up to 30-50% performance improvement on multi-threaded workloads compared to the last generation, ASRock Rack's new 1U2LW-C242 server platform is fully optimized for Intel's new Xeon^® E processors which Intel^® just launched today and supports up to 64GB dual channel DDR4-2666MHz ECC and non-ECC UDIMM in four DIMM slots, two hot-swap 2.5-inch hard drive bays, a PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot, and a IPMI 2.0 with KVM and dedicated LAN port in a compact 1U form factor. The 1U2LW-C242 is designed to support the increasing high performance workloads combined with security and reliability for the mainstream and general purpose entry-class servers used by today's small and medium-sized business professionals.

ASRock Rack's new Intel^® Xeon^® E processor-based E3C242D4U and E3C246D4U server motherboards come in a standard micro-ATX form factor featuring up to eight SATA3 storage ports, a PCIe 3.0 x16, PCIe 3.0 x8 and PCIe 3.0 x4 slots, up to 64GB of DDR4 2666 MHz DRAM in four DIMM slots, USB3.1 ports, M.2 slots, and two GLAN ports. In addition, the E3C242D4M-4L featuring four GLAN ports and the E3C242D4U2-2T with dual 10GBASE-T ports are designed for high-speed multi-function Web 2.0 storage, web serving or hosting servers.
